Tucked away along the Muskingum River in southeast Ohio is a little-known destination that's certain to blow you away.

Come and experience one of the best hidden gem restaurants in Ohio! You'll find The Stockport Mill Inn and Restaurant on the Dam at 1995 Broadway St., Stockport, OH 43787.

The last remaining mill on the Muskingum River is now a one-of-a-kind overnight getaway and restaurant.

It's a truly unique historic site that antique lovers and history buffs alike will love. It's easy to see why people think this is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Ohio.

Today, it is still powered by hydroelectricity, and the mill itself has been in operation since 1842.

Both turbines have been fully restored after severe damage and now work to power the hotel's restaurant.

The charming dining area features sweeping views of the river. The restaurant is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. for dinner.

There is also a Sunday buffet from noon - 4 p.m.

On the menu, you'll find steakhouse and seafood classics. Pictured below is the NY Strip Dinner.

Before you leave, be sure to take a look around and explore the mill. You'll notice much of the original architecture and building materials are preserved.

Outside, a dining terrace also wraps around the restaurant. It's beautiful seating in the warmer months.

Upstairs, there are 14 beautiful guest rooms, each of which have private balconies that overlook the river.
