Almost Nobody Knows That Parts of the Iconic Movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Were Filmed in This Tiny New Mexico Town

One of the best-known films ever made is "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." Filmed in 1968 and 1969, it was released to movie theaters in 1969 and became box-office gold for its time. There are also plenty of hiking and equestrian trails around town as well. Head to the Edward Sargent Wildlife Management Area, a 20,029-acre preserve, and take a hike along the easy 0.9-mile Elk Interpretive Trail. Be on the lookout for wildlife as you stroll through the beautiful landscapes.
