The Flamingo Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas offers a free, tranquil escape with flamingos and other wildlife amidst lush tropical grounds.

Located in the world-famous Flamingo Hotel and Casino complex at 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South is the Flamingo Habitat, a 15-acre tropical rainforest that is home to a variety of birds, particularly flamingos. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the busy Las Vegas Strip, this flamingo habitat is definitely a welcome respite.

Take a look:

The Flamingo Habitat is a hidden tropical oasis smack dab in the middle of the Las Vegas strip. Admission to this paradise (located actually not within the city limits of Las Vegas but in the unincorporated town of Paradise) is free.

The habitat rests on 15 acres of lush tropical grounds.

Grab a drink at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville and relax within this desert oasis.

Dozens of pink Chilean flamingos roam the grounds among the waterfalls, ponds, aquatic life, and other birds.

At 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. daily, visitors can learn about these magnificent, beautiful creatures and watch live feedings.

Every animal is well cared for and evident as they frolic on islands, in streams, around waterfalls, and amidst the lush foliage.

This tranquil and beautiful oasis is hidden right on the famed Las Vegas strip.

The sanctuary is home to a variety of other animals such as turtles, ducks...

...koi...

...pelicans...

...and parrots. You can even get your picture taken with one of these friendly colorful guys. In fact, there are many photo ops throughout the habitat.
