The Tiny Town In Nevada With The Most Mouthwatering Restaurant

Discover the best hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.

Sometimes the best food is cooked at small, nondescript places in tiny towns far from the busy, glitzy cities like Las Vegas and Reno. They may seem small, but the food is made fresh by friendly locals who can produce amazingly mouthwatering dishes that you'll long remember.

Austin, Nevada is a tiny town with a population slightly under 200 people.

Austin is on U.S. Highway 50, the "Loneliest Road in America."

The Toiyabe Cafe is one of only three restaurants in the town of Austin. The Cafe is named after the nearby Toiyabe mountain range.

The restaurant is known for its soft-serve ice cream, shakes and welcoming staff.

Typical "American" fare is on the menu such as burgers, hot dogs, chili, sandwiches, and soup.

It's also a great place for a delicious, old-fashioned breakfast!

Like most small town establishments, the ambiance is relaxed and low-key. It can best be described as homey!

Food is cooked fresh with every order.

The cafe also has pamphlets on the mining history of Austin available for tourists.

You can get your Official Highway 50 Survival Guide Stamp at the Toiyabe Cafe as well!

The Toiyabe Cafe is located at 150 Main Street in Austin. The cafe is open from 6 am to 8 pm in the summer and 6 am to 2 pm in the winter.

Have you eaten at the Toiyabe Cafe? Or do you have a favorite "to die for" restaurant in a small town?
