1. Gabbs

Gabbs is a quiet little town with a population of just 269 people. The town is most notable for its close proximity to the wildly unique Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park which is situated just 20 miles east of town. Here you can check out the old mining town of Berlin that contains some fascinating historic structures and the old fossils of a giant marine reptile known as the Ichthyosaur.

2. Baker

Located on the eastern edge of the state, Baker is a quaint town of just 385 people. A lot of people use it as a gateway into Great Basin National Park, but you would be remiss if you didn't take the time to explore all the treasures hiding in this town. Stop for a bite to eat at Kerouac's and spend the night at the Border Inn before perusing the natural beauty that can be found within this lovely community.

3. Goldfield

Goldfield may have a population of just 311 people, but this is by far one of the most unique towns in the state and it's a must for any adventurer. This is a town that seems to be frozen in time. Once considered the largest town in Nevada, there are remnants all over Goldfield to remind you of the city it used to be.

4. Goodsprings

The historic town of Goodsprings can be found in the southern region of our state. This ex-mining town suffered the same fate as many of Nevada's old mining communities after the silver and gold began to dwindle. However, it's still home to around 230 people. 5. Dyer

Located in Nevada's Fish Lake Valley, Dyer is a rural little town of 259 people. Home to just a gas station, cafe, post office, and airport, there isn't a ton to do in this quiet community. However, it's the perfect place to be if you're looking to escape civilization for a bit and bask in the remoteness of the Nevada desert.

6. Gerlach

Located in an extremely remote area of northwestern Nevada is the tiny town of Gerlach. Gerlach sees a lot of traffic a few weeks out of the year for the Burning Man Festival, but for the rest of the year this is as quiet as it gets. The charming little town acts as a gateway to the mesmerizing Black Rock Desert which boasts tons of opportunities for adventure.

7. Glenbrook

Located on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, Glenbrook is a dreamy little community of 215 people. It's considered the oldest settlement on the lake and played a huge part in Nevada's history when it acted as the main supplier of timber to the Comstock Lode and Virginia City. 8. Mina

The town of Mina can be found in west-central Nevada. It boasts a minuscule population of just 155 people, yet there's a lot to love about this place...especially if you love exploring abandoned places. With just a handful of businesses in town, Mina contains an abundant amount of old, dilapidated buildings that look like they haven't seen human activity in decades.
