Several amazing attractions in one, it’s a resort with a general store, restaurants, and an exotic animal park that you can drive or walk through. With so much to see and do, it’s the perfect day trip destination. And if you can’t see it all in one day, you’re in luck. There are on-site accommodations, so you can turn your day of fun into an in-state getaway.

With great shopping, mouthwatering eateries, and a menagerie of animals, you could easily spend all day (if not longer) at McClain in Brandon.

Of the 2,000 acres that make up McClain, 65 acres are dedicated to the exotic animal park, which is home to more than 40 different species from around the globe.

Visitors can drive their own vehicles through the safari park or book a guided tour. (Keep in mind, guided tours must be booked in advance.)

The wild fun doesn’t end with the drive-thru safari, though. Admission to the park also includes access to McClain’s Petting Zoo Walking Trail.

With several restaurants on site, fantastic food is just as plentiful as the wildlife.

Whether you’re craving a juicy steak, full-fledged southern meal, or craft cocktails, McClain has a restaurant for you.

In addition to the fare, the atmosphere varies from restaurant to restaurant. You'll find everything from a buffet with a laidback, family-friendly vibe to a rustic-chic tavern.

An old-fashioned general store is also among McClain’s many amenities.

And just like the general stores of the past, McClain’s general store carries a little bit of everything – from gifts and décor to fresh-baked treats and locally made goods.

If one day just doesn’t seem like enough time to enjoy all McClain has to offer, consider booking a stay in one of McClain’s cabins. For larger groups, there’s a lodge and guest house.
