Try Out This Mini Louisiana Road Trip Where You Can View Spring From Your Car

Explore the Creole Nature Trail in southwestern Louisiana from the comfort of your car to enjoy spring florals and wildlife.

Spring has sprung, but just because we are stuck in quarantine, that doesn’t mean we have to miss out on all the fun florals that are popping up all over the state. We’ve got a picture-perfect little adventure that will allow you to see all the beauty of spring right from the comfort of your car. Let’s take a closer look.

Weaving throughout southwestern Louisiana, the Creole Nature Trail is a 180-mile All-American Road that’s perfect year-round.

Don’t worry, if you’re not up for the full 180 miles, you can break it down into an easy day trip to fit your schedule.

You can start and stop your adventure anywhere along the trail, and there’s a handy little trail map to help you plan your route.

There are several wildlife preserves where you might want to stop, including the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge, the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge, and the Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge.

You’ll see beautiful wildflowers and countless wildlife along the way.

All from the comfort of your car.

There's even 26 miles of beaches you can sink your toes into.

You'll be tempted to get out and walk around. Many of the areas along the way have nature trails, boardwalks, and areas to stop and admire the views.

And when the views are this pretty, you'll want to stop for a moment and take it all in.
