The Fall Festival At DixieMaze Farms In Louisiana Is Worth A Road Trip

The weather may still feel like we're in the throes of summer, but even if the weather isn't cooperating, we can still enjoy some traditional fall activities. Over in Shreveport, DixieMaze Farms has a fall festival that runs from September 28 through November 2, so you have plenty of time to pop over and check it out. The DixieMaze Farm Fall Festival is one of the most incredible family-friendly fall festivals in Louisiana.

For several weeks, the working farm transforms into an incredible fall festival filled with endless attractions.

One of the main attractions is the cornfield maze, which attracts people from all over northern Louisiana.

This massive corn maze covers eight acres and has about four miles of pathways, twists, turns, and dead ends to turn you around.

Every year they incorporate a new design, and it’s never the same twice!

At night, the maze transforms into the Field of Screams, where you’ll have to get through the maze while you never know who (or what) may be lurking around the corner.

But there’s even more to this incredible fall festival!

There are several attractions for the little ones, like pony rides, duck races, and hay rides.

The Jumpy Thing is always a hit with kids of all ages. No matter how old you are, you’ll get a kick out of bouncing around on this thing.

After all the fun, be sure to head over to the Pumpkin Patch so you can pick your own pumpkin to take home.

DixieMaze Farms has one of the only "live on the vine" pumpkin patches in the area, and it's always a memorable experience for the kids to pick out their own pumpkins.
