It's another day in Kansas, and it's only going to get warmer as the days roll by. Before everyone starts whining about the heat, why not give them a reason to wine around a vineyard? Word play aside, this place not only produces wines, but beautiful views.

Vogel Family Vineyards in Galena, Kansas has a plethora of fantastic scenery, as well as more than a few grapes.

The lines of vines are kept safe from birds with netting when needed, and the family works hard to make sure their wine continues to be the best quality possible. They produce both red and whites of a few varieties you don't often see in Midwestern wineries.

Flowers that grow on the land only enhance the classic beauty of the sometimes misty vineyard.

Sunsets here can be enjoyed with a glass of wine, and if you schedule a tour or tasting, you'll end up taking a bottle or two home with you.

They're located at 116 Hillcrest Dr. in Galena, but you've got to schedule a tour or wine tasting with the vineyard first.

More information on seasons and scheduling a tour can be found at their website here.

What's your favorite wine? I personally like a good Rose' but that's just me. What does wine go great with? Cheese from this great place right here in the Sunflower state.
