This Tiny Drive In May Just Be The Best Kept Secret In Kansas
Bobo's Drive-In in Topeka offers a nostalgic dining experience with car-side service and classic American food.
Other than a couple chains, there aren't too many places around Kansas where you can drive in for dinner and drive away when you're done. For those of us who miss the old days of car-side service, this restaurant in Topeka is keeping the dream alive. Stop by sometime and see what the buzz is about!
As you drive along in Topeka, you might come across a neon sign that inspires you from the past. This is Bobo's Drive-In, and it's been this tasty and welcoming for years.
Bobo's itself has been operating in Topeka since 1948, and has been sitting right here since 1953, serving burgers and classic sides the whole time.
If you like, you can even sit inside at some of the limited seating during your visit. There's not a lot of room in there, though!
Most visitors prefer the classic way of driving up and ordering from a carhop the old way.
Watch for your food to arrive, and you can even get it clipped to your car window! That's not something you see every day.
With your classic burger, enjoy hand breaded onion rings or french fries, and feel free to order a root beer float too, because they're absolutely amazing.
A few other menu items to note are the apple pie, which looks irresistible under a dollop of soft serve.
They've been here this long, and Bobo's has no plans to go anywhere anytime soon.
They're open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day but Sundays.
You'll find Bobo's Drive-In at 2300 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS. Happy trails!
