This is one of the best small-town parks in Kansas, and it's a wonderful spot for a stroll on a lovely afternoon, no matter the season!

Abilene is one of the best small towns in Kansas. It's home to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, which is fitting, as the 34th president was raised in Abilene.

Another destination in the town that's named for Ike is the Eisenhower Park and Rose Garden.

The park is tucked away in Abilene's historic district, and even has some history of its own.

It was here that Eisenhower announced his run for president back in 1952.

There's a lot to see here! The park is home to some brilliant flowers that provide bursts of color during the warm months.

There are an impressive 500 varieties of flowers here, including more than 150 types of roses.

There's also a large pool, and even a stadium that hosts rodeos and the county fair.

The park is home to the world's largest belt buckle. This mammoth structure is nearly 20 feet wide and shows off some Abilene pride!

The playground is a great spot for the kids to let loose some energy.
