Follow The Maquoketa River Along This Scenic Drive Through Iowa

As you head down the Delaware Crossing Scenic Byway, you'll be close to Lake Delhi - one of the most beautiful and least-explored water areas in Iowa.

As the lake gives way to the Maquoketa River, you'll come across some impressive overlooks perfect for reflection.

When the road pulls you away from the water, enjoy the clear views of the Iowa prairie - you're in barn country.

If you take this drive during the winter, the red barns are even more striking covered in snow.

The scenic byway will lead you to Manchester, one of the best small cities in the Hawkeye State.
