The Ohio River Scenic Byway is one of the original 14 National Scenic Byways in the United States.

The 303-mile section that runs along the Ohio River in Indiana passes through several delightful towns filled with history, natural beauty, and charm.

It is a picture-perfect town with only a few thousand residents, but there is so much to see and do that you could easily enjoy a weekend getaway as you explore all that Corydon has to offer.

From the Wyandotte Caves and the Hoosier National Forest just outside of town, to Civil War battle memorials, and small-town shops and restaurants to fuel your travels.

Corydon has many fascinating historical sites like the William Henry Harrison log cabin where the ninth president of the United States spent some time.

It is interesting to note Harrison was the shortest-lived president having died only 31 days after he took office.

Or, the old Indiana State Capital building.

From 1816 until 1826 Corydon was the state capitol of Indiana before it was moved to Indianapolis.

Corydon is also an interesting town for historic bridge enthusiasts.

The Rothrock Mill Bridge is one of several historic bridges in Corydon. You'll find it at the lovely Hayswood Park as it crosses Indian Creek.
