This historic boat tour takes you along the Illinois & Michigan Canal in LaSalle. Guests step back to the 1840s when they board this 70-passenger mule-pulled canal boat.
Climb aboard "The Volunteer" for about $15 per person. The tour is guided and begins with a "Mule Tending 101" session to introduce guests to the mighty creatures that help maneuver the boat.
Children under age 3 are admitted for free while those between ages 4 and 16 may enter for $8. Seniors pay $13.
Along the trip, guests may listen to stories told by Mary Todd Lincoln while enjoying views of gorgeous Central Illinois.
