If you’ve never been to the coastal town of St. Simons Island, Georgia then it’s high time you plan a trip.
It is located about an hour's drive north of Jacksonville, FL and south of Savannah, Georgia.

With scenic views like this, you start to understand why!
It is within this small beach town that history buffs and beachgoers can unite in harmony for an informative and interesting vacation.
There are so many things to do here.
Among them are fishing, golfing, sightseeing, beachcombing, camping, and so much more.
Be sure while here to check out the St. Simons Lighthouse.
Like a lot of lighthouses, you can climb to the tippy top where you’ll get unobstructed views of the entire island.
Or wander through the waterways by kayak or walkways on foot as you see a different side of Georgia nature.
The beaches are also a great way to get a feel for the area...
...whether it’s setting up shop on East Beach with a towel and umbrella or simply exploring the St. Simons Island Trail System, which is perfect for walking and biking.
St. Simons Pier is another great place to check out.
While here you can enjoy the breeze coming off the ocean, watch anglers fish, and snag some ice cream.
