The Coziest Town In Florida Will Make Your Season Merry And Bright
Celebration, Florida transforms into a winter wonderland during the holidays with nightly snowfall and festive activities.
It might be hard for some outsiders to consider Florida as the place to go for a cozy, holiday vacation. Besides all the fun to be had at Disney World and the neighboring parks, Florida just doesn't ooze a perfect winter wonderland vibe. Until you visit this small town. Not only do visitors get to enjoy a "celebration" of epic proportions, but for some it may just be the first time ever seeing snowfall in the state.
Celebration, Florida—also known as the town that Walt Disney built—was originally founded in the mid-90’s and fashioned after historic American small towns throughout the U.S.
While you’ll find the charm and quaint atmosphere that is expected of Celebration, if you visit during the holidays you’ll also be in for a real treat.
Celebration, Florida has been hosting a world famous holiday event for the past 20 years known as Now Snowing, which is one of Central Florida’s original "snowing" events.
Now Snowing is a month-long Winter Wonderland celebration in this small town, featuring a bevy of festive holiday treats and activities for all who visit.
We’re talking special photo opportunities with the man himself—Santa Claus…
Plus horse-drawn carriage rides through the pedestrian-friendly streets…
…and the area’s only synthetic ice skating rink!
But perhaps the biggest draw for visitors to this cozy town during the holidays comes in the form of "snow" which falls nightly at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m.
Bring the whole family and listed to the Charles Dickens-style Christmas Carolers who sing all your favorite holiday tunes.
But make sure you stick around for the snowfall, because if anything, this is what makes Celebration feel like the quintessential holiday town in Florida.
