Not every state is as lucky as we are in terms of location. Florida has access to water on nearly every side, meaning that coastal towns are abundant. One of my favorite things to do on a free weekend is explore the Florida coast, either the Gulf side or oceanside. Coastal towns are the bread and butter of living in Florida, and we have one that is a must-visit. Flagler Beach, one of the best coastal towns in Florida, is tucked away between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine and offers a cozy experience with retro vibes and friendly residents.
Flagler Beach is one of the coolest small coastal towns in Florida, filled with natural beauty and tons of charm.
With fewer than 6,000 people, Flagler Beach is the quintessential beach getaway that most people don’t even know exists! Picture swimming, surfing, boating, and all-around relaxation.

Or for something a bit more casual, check out High Tides at Snack Jack. The food is spectacular, and the unobstructed ocean views are out-of-this-world.
