Getting in a car and driving in Southern California isn't typically anyone's idea of a good time in SoCal. We've found what just might be the best scenic fall foliage drive in Southern California, and there's truly nothing else like it.
Now that autumn is in the air (hello, pumpkin latte!) it's the perfect time of year to jump in the car and explore the beauty of the fall in SoCal. Here are four of our favorite places to view the changing leaves on a relaxing afternoon drive. We'd recommend bringing along a pumpkin spice latte, or perhaps a steaming hot cup of apple cider, as you twist and turn through the beautiful expanse of the southern California region. The fall foliage in Southern California deserves a bit of attention, and you're bound to fall in love with SoCal all over again.

For starters, head to the town of Wrightwood along the Angeles Crest Highway for a glimpse of golden trees that capture the beauty of the autumn season. With its small town charm and scenic setting, you'll be completely enchanted by what you see. It's the perfect stop along this scenic fall drive in Southern California.
Next stop -- we'll head toward Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake where you'll find delightful SoCal mountain towns where the trees are bursting with fall colors.

As you drive through town and explore the village you'll be treated to the most stunning colors on the trees now that fall is in the air. This is exactly the perfect place to see fall colors in Southern California.
And now for Green Valley Lake. To see this beautiful SoCal destination that's alive with fall colors, continue down Rim of the World Hwy until you reach this lakeside setting that is popping with color.
Last but not least, we will continue to the town of Big Bear along Hwy 18 heading toward Big Bear Boulevard.
One of our favorite places for a leisurely drive is heading through the village. You can even park your car and explore the fall foliage as you stroll through town. It's the perfect way to end your day after a 2-hour scenic drive.
