The Blossom Trail is a self-guided motor and/or bicycle tour that traverses Fresno County. The route boasts breathtaking views of orchards filled with fruit trees and bursting with colorful flowers.
Blossom viewing typically begins around mid-February and extends into mid-March. The blossoms are only around for a few weeks before they flutter to the ground, so timing your visit accordingly is crucial.
There are an abundance of different blossoms located along the route and different ways to identify them. Think cherry, apple, citrus, and more creating a rainbow of color, from white to soft pink and peach.
For instance, apricot blossoms are bright pink! Peach and nectarine blossoms also feature pink petals, with a hint of red, too. The sight of dozens upon dozens of fruit trees in full blossom is simply outstanding.
The Blossom Trail begins at Simonian Farms, a third generation working farm in Fresno. It then winds its way through neighboring communities like Kingsburg, Clovis, Selma, and Reedley.
Although you can certainly complete the trail in a matter of hours, we encourage you to take your time to truly appreciate each and every one of these small town farms and orchards.
The best time to visit the Fresno County Blossom Trail in Northern California is, of course, at its peak! Be sure to check out the official Blossom Trail website for updates about what is in bloom and when you should visit.
