This Humble Little Restaurant In Small Town Arizona Is So Old Fashioned, It Doesn’t Even Have A Website

In the modern world, social media and the internet are the main ways businesses gain traction. For that reason, it really says something when a place has managed to stay open despite not even having a website! That is precisely the case at Miss Fitz 260 Cafe, one of the best restaurants in Payson. This small-town Arizona eatery survives on word-of-mouth alone - along with their out-of-this-world food, of course.

Named after the remote highway it's located on, Miss Fitz 260 Cafe has been a Payson institution for years.

The family-run restaurant keeps things old-fashioned by only accepting cash. You won't even find them online, save for a scarcely-updated Facebook page. That just goes to show how powerful word-of-mouth can be for keeping a business alive — especially one this legendary!

Miss Fitz isn't going for beauty marks. The interior of the restaurant is unassuming at best with mismatched chairs and random knick-knacks scattered all over the place. But the food is so good that the atmosphere is completely irrelevant.

In terms of the menu, breakfast is the star of the show. Savory fans will love all the omelet choices, plus other down-home favorites such as chicken-fried steak and biscuits and gravy.

For those with a sweet tooth, it's hard to go wrong with pancakes. Pair your steak with eggs and bacon or sausage and you have yourself a well-rounded and delicious meal.

The restaurant also serves lunch, which features diner staples like sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. Bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato, anyone?

Let's not forget about dessert! Miss Fitz proudly bakes nearly a dozen different flavors of pie each day, ranging from fruity favorites like apple and cherry to decadent creations such as chocolate cream. They also serve peach cobbler and monkey bread!

Visit the restaurant's Facebook page for more information, including current hours of operation.
