There's no doubt that there are countless scenic places around Arizona. After all, it's home to the Grand Canyon, one of the most famous and iconic natural wonders in the entire world! The state is filled with so many recognizable locales that it's impossible to fit them all into one trip. So, we've handpicked a few places in the northern part of the state that you can visit over the course of a weekend or a few days. Here is a road trip to some of the most iconic views in Arizona:

1. Sedona's Red Rock Landscape
No matter how many times I visit Sedona, I am still blown away by its gorgeous landscape filled with red rock formations. Take a scenic drive on either Schnebly Hill Road or SR-89A for some of the best views. Your jaw will drop with every turn. You can also stop at several overlooks on the drive and take in views of Bell Rock, Chimney Rock, and several other named rock formations.

2. Grand Canyon, South Rim - Mather Point
The Grand Canyon may be our state's most popular tourist attraction, but there are plenty of reasons why people from all over come for a visit. We must all spend time at this bucket list-worthy destination during our lives. The views are immense and otherworldly, the hiking is outstanding, and we just can't get enough!

3. Horseshoe Bend

4. Lake Powell
Set along the Arizona-Utah border is the stunning blue waters of Lake Powell, surrounded by an equally stunning landscape. Spend some time on the lakeshore or rent a boat to explore the lake on the water. Either way, I'm certain you'll be taking plenty of photos while you're here.

5. Oljato-Monument Valley
Another place with iconic views on the Arizona-Utah border, Oljato-Monument Valley is filled with buttes, a mesa, and red rocks. This landscape is absolutely jaw-dropping and worth the long drive to get here. Go for a hike or take a guided tour while you're here—I highly recommend it!
