Alabama’s Lakeside Park Is A Great Spot For A Family Day Trip This Summer

Now that summer has officially arrived, there's no better way to spend it than by visiting some of Alabama's top outdoor attractions, including parks. One park in particular is Lakeside Park. Lakeside Park is great for a day trip and offers several features that are perfect for the entire family, many of which you can read about below.

Lakeside Park is located in Pell City, Alabama. Over the years, it's become a popular gathering spot for families, especially during the summer months.

This 65-acre park offers several features that attract visitors from near and far, one of which is a sandy lakeside beach. This man-made beach is perfect for relaxing in the hot summer sun. It's also just a few steps away from the lake, which is great for taking a dip in.

A paved, 1.1-mile trail also meanders through the wooded section of the park, which is wonderful for walking and/or riding bikes.

If you enjoy fishing, you're in luck! Lakeside Park offers several piers to fish from. The park also hosts many fishing tournaments throughout the year.

Kids of all ages enjoy Lakeside Park's "Kids Kastle," which is a custom-built playground that was constructed in 2001.
