This West Coast Bar Is Just For People Who Hate Valentine’s Day

If you hate Valentine’s Day, you’re not alone. In fact, a bar has just opened in Los Angeles that’s perfect for people who don’t want anything to do with pink hearts and chocolate.

BreakUp Bar is a temporary cocktail lounge adjacent to Severance Wine Bar in L.A. The bar celebrates all things anti-Valentine’s Day and is filled with unromantic decor – like a Wall of Broken Relationships, where people can write anonymous notes to their exes.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

The bar also has a 10-foot screen showing classic breakup films and cocktails with sassy names like the “Ghosted,” “Serious Baggage,” and “I Dealt With Your Parents for Years.” Even though this spot is all about shedding the pressures of Valentine’s Day, couples are welcome to make reservations for the big day.

BreakUp Bar will only be open for two weeks, so don’t miss your chance to check it out. You can find it at 7276 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA.
