It’s About To Get Much Harder To Smoke On Cruise Ships
If you’re a smoker, you may want to reconsider booking a voyage with Carnival Cruises.
The major cruise line has just announced its new Tobacco and Marijuana Smoking Policy and it tightens restrictions on where passengers can and can’t light up.
According to the Carnival website, passengers are now only allowed to smoke cigarettes in designated places on exterior deck areas and some specific casino and nightclub spaces.
This is a major change from the cruise line’s old policy, which permitted passengers to smoke in or outside their stateroom and balconies. Additionally, cigars, pipes, vaporizers, and electronic cigarettes are banned from use in the ships non-smoking areas.
As you might expect, possession or use of marijuana on board is not allowed.
The cruise line hopes that this new policy will make its ships more comfortable and attractive to families and safer for all passengers.
