Hawaii Is Actually Paying East Coast Employees $10,000 To Work From The Beach

It can be tough to be stuck at your desk when the weather is beautiful, so Hawaii is offering some lucky New Yorkers the chance to work from the beach this summer.

Hawaii Tourism United States (HTUSA) is running a new program called Work From Hawaii. It will let a few fortunate employees spend eight days in one of six Hawaii locations tailored to their particular field. The package includes round-trip airfare, all accommodation costs, and additional cultural activities. The entire package is valued at $10,000.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Here’s the deal: applicants must live and work in one of N.Y.C.’s five boroughs and be between 24 and 36 years of age. They must also have a public Instagram account, as HTUSA will ask them to post pictures of their adventure. Applications to the program will be accepted here until June 4.
