This Dreamy Job Will Pay You $130,000 To Live On An Island Off The West Coast
If you’re looking for a new career path, this job in California might be the ultimate résumé addition.
The East Brother Light Station is tucked away on a small island off of San Francisco. The island is home to a lighthouse and a small inn that are both currently operated by a couple, Che Rodgers and Jillian Meeker, who are seeking two people to take over their role.
The annual salary for this job would be $130,000 and your responsibilities would include everything from housekeeping to working the front desk of the inn. You’d also be responsible for ferrying guests to and from the island, keeping the books, and generally maintaining the light station. There’s no access to WiFi or television on the island, but there’s plenty of natural beauty to keep you entertained.
Before you apply, you should know that applicants must be a couple and one person must have a Coast Guard commercial boat operator’s license. The couple must also have “high-quality culinary experience and capability will be a critical qualification” and be available to start in mid-April of 2019.
