You Can Now Check Out Another Island When You Visit Alcatraz
Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, California is a popular tourist hotspot. This former prison island has a long and storied history, but it now welcomes almost a million and a half visitors a year.
For the first time, visitors to Alcatraz Island will soon be able to extend their adventure by visiting a second island. If you book through Alcatraz Cruises, you’ll be able to hop on over to Angel Island State Park as well.
Angel Island State Park is sometimes known as the “Ellis Island of the West” because it was the first place many new immigrants stopped to be processed on their way to the mainland. Visitors to the island today will find that it offers gorgeous views of the sea and will be able to take a 60-minute tram tour.
However, you’ll have to book your trip this summer if you want to enjoy this special combination trip. The two-island tour is only offered until October, so click here to reserve your spot.
