This Texas Zoo Has One Of The Most Spectacular Christmas Light Displays You’ve Ever Seen
The zoo is always a magical place to visit, but even more so at Christmastime. One of Texas’ most popular holiday attractions is back for the seventh consecutive year, and it promises more lights, sounds, and interactive displays than ever.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Through January 13, the Houston Zoo gets transformed into a magical winter wonderland. Each year, the celebration only gets better - and this season promises to be best yet.
Right near the entrance is a grove of trees wrapped from trunk to leaves in glittering bulbs. Multicolored reflections on the water below create an absolutely mesmerizing scene.
Fifteen miles of lights illuminate the entire walkway. Tunnels, an enchanted forest, and a wildlife carousel are just several of the many interactive features.
All the critters will be fast asleep, but you can still catch glimpses of them around every corner. Light displays depicting all your favorite zoo animals add a whimsical element guaranteed to enchant kids and adults alike.
Santa will make appearances on select nights to take pictures with the little ones. Professional photographers capture those precious moments in the most perfect way possible.
