The Charming Restaurant In The Heart Of Wine Country Is A Texas Dream
Trattoria Lisina in Driftwood, Texas offers an authentic Italian dining experience with homemade dishes and a Tuscan atmosphere.
Italy is pretty high up there on my bucket list - I mean, who wouldn't want to stroll through vineyards and tour ancient buildings we've been reading about since we were children? And one of the main attractions of Italy, in my opinion, is the food. Rustic cobblestone restaurants with lively atmospheres serving up the best pasta and pizza dishes in the world. Unfortunately, a lavish vacation like that isn't exactly affordable. But what if all of those qualities could be found at a restaurant here in Texas? That restaurant is called Trattoria Lisina, and it's located in Driftwood, which is in the heart of our state's famous wine country. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more authentic eatery.
With architecture and an atmosphere reminiscent of Tuscan restaurants, you'll feel as if you've traveled to Italy upon taking your first steps into Trattoria Lisina.
It's small, family-owned, and puts an emphasis on family and togetherness.
Only the finest fresh and seasonal ingredients are used in the food, and everything from the pasta to each sauce on the menu is homemade. Nothing from a box or jar here!
The wine list is equally as impressive, boasting selections from boutique wineries, the restaurant's own Mandolas, and even some of the most well-known winemakers in Italy.
Here's a glimpse into some of the mouthwatering foods you can choose from. This is housemade fettuccine with Italian sausage, prosciutto, and peas doused in a rich cream sauce.
If pizza is more your style, no worries - there's plenty of it on the menu. I believe this one has portobellos, goat cheese, and caramelized onion. Yummm.
And you didn't think I'd forget about dessert, did you? Italian classics like decadent tiramisu and creamy gelato are just a couple of the many delectable options.
Have you ever been to Trattoria Lisina? What's your favorite Italian restaurant in Texas?
