Owned by the same family as Katie's Seafood Market on Pier 19 in Galveston, Katie's Seafood House serves up some of the freshest seafood on the island.

This waterfront restaurant is located directly on the Galveston Channel, and the food comes straight off the boat and onto your plate.

Seating is available both indoors and out, and you can watch ships pass by through floor-to-ceiling windows.

It isn't often you get to see where your food came from while you're eating it, and you can taste the freshness in every bite.

The menu is vast and varied, featuring everything from appetizers to salads to mouthwatering entrees.

If you're feeling indecisive, we suggest starting with the seafood nachos. With chimichurri grilled fish and shrimp, Mexican coleslaw, asiago and pepper jack cheeses, and taco crema, they're quite the mouthful.
