There’s No Pool In The World Like This One In Texas
With it being summer (okay, it’s not actually summer yet, but we all know that Texas summer starts in like the beginning of May), all we want to do is immerse ourselves in some cool, refreshing water. I’m a swimming pool person – I like feeling “clean” when I’m in the water instead of constantly stepping on seaweed and watching the Galveston waves bring in brown sludge. Some people are the opposite, preferring to wade in the waters Mother Nature herself created. Luckily, we have a place in Texas that’s the best of both worlds. The Barton Springs Pool in Austin is a man-made, filtered swimming pool, however the water is spring-fed. And it’s totally gorgeous. Does it get any better than that?
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
Have you ever been to this pool? Would you like to go if you haven’t?
