Considering the park has 11 miles of trails situated on more than 1700 acres of Hill Country terrain, it's no wonder most people have never heard of Crystal Cave. The natural wonder is 30-feet deep, much cooler than surface temperatures, and full of glittering crystal - hence its name.

The .62-mile hike takes about 45 minutes and gets fairly steep at certain points. It's still accessible to most provided appropriate footwear is worn, and the reward is absolutely worth a little sweat.
