A Massive Gourmet Grilled Cheese Festival Is Coming To Texas In February
Grilled cheese might be viewed as the most basic of kid foods, but it’s getting a sophisticated makeover this winter. In February, a massive grilled cheese festival boasting hundreds of different gourmet varieties is gracing Austin with its presence. The all-inclusive event features unlimited samples, an open bar, games, and live entertainment. Tickets are already on sale and going fast, so don’t waste any time!
From the people who brought you the Houston Grilled Cheese Festival last month, Austin is the next city lined up. The event takes place on Saturday, February 8, but tickets are already on sale and going fast.
Bite-size samples mean you can hit up several different booths before getting too full. It's an all-inclusive event, so no additional purchases are required after entry.
We've all dipped our grilled cheese in tomato soup a million times before, but have you ever done it the other way around? One chef dared to turn the tables, and the result was pretty mind-blowing.
Meat is the most Texas way possible to elevate a grilled cheese. Austin is known for its legendary BBQ, so perhaps we'll see some smoky brisket piled high between the two slices of bread.
Grilled cheese can even be dessert, y'all! Use a softer variety like brie, throw a little jam on there, and you've got a decadent treat that tastes way too sophisticated for its simplicity.
Alcohol will be served, so the festival is 21 and up. VIP tickets grant access to a private bar, while general admission includes free drinks out on the festival grounds.
Despite it being an adults-only event, there'll be plenty of opportunities to unleash your inner child. Play some bags, dance to live entertainment like nobody's watching, and just enjoy an overall carefree afternoon.
