Stroll Through A Quaint European Christmas Village In Texas This Holiday Season
We just told y’all about the 12 Days of Christmas display in the Dallas Arboretum, but there’s also an adorable European holiday market. Shopkeepers will be posted outside each building, offering samples of their wares including baked goods, candy, hand-carved pencils, and jingle bells.
This year, the Pauline and Austin Neuhoff Christmas Village is the arboretum's newest addition to its annual holiday festivities. On display through the end of December, this adorable collection of shops has been inspired by traditional German Christmas markets or Christkindlmarkets.
Young and old alike will frolic down the street with the most innocent joy imaginable, exploring each of the 12 buildings. Shopkeepers posted outside eagerly hand out samples of their wares, such as baked goods, candy, hand-carved pencils, and jingle bells.
Don't leave without stopping by Santa's House! He'll be there on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday to pose for family photos and show you his precious sleigh.
In need of some last-minute lawn decorations? There's a place for that, too! Stock up on candy canes, reindeer, and other exclusive items you can't find anywhere else.
Before heading out, take a stroll through the animated gazebos featuring verses from the 12 Days of Christmas. Have a friendly contest with your group and see who can match the most scenes with song lyrics.
Partake in a gourmet holiday dinner at the beautiful DeGolyer Restaurant, whose halls have been decked with elegant holiday cheer. It's a fixed three-course meal, and the cost is $59 for ages two and up.
Fireplaces evoke a relaxing ambiance, while poinsettias and garland add a nice festive touch. With dishes like tomato basil soup, beef tenderloin medallions, rosemary potatoes, and molten lava cake with wild cherry sauce, this five-star meal truly encompasses all the defining flavors of the season.
