The Hidden Beach In Texas With Clear Waters That Rival The Caribbean
Why jet overseas when we have breathtaking tropical oases right here in Texas? Eisenhower State Park is a secret beach just an hour outside of Dallas with pristine waters that rival the Caribbean. Check it out:
Nestled along Lake Texoma, Eisenhower State Park is an unforgettable waterfront destination. A sandy beach and eye-popping blue water offer endless fun for the whole family.
Hiding in plain sight just an hour away from Dallas, it's one of North Texas' most underrated spots. Pristine, snow-white sand provides ample opportunity for sunbathing and sandcastle building, and deep blue water beckons visitors to come splash the day away.
Several caves reside at the outcropping's base, however their safety has not been confirmed. Although we can't advise going inside, the ancient carvings are definitely a sight to behold.
Partake in swimming, fishing, kayaking, four wheeling, hiking four miles of trails, and pretty much any other outdoor recreation activity imaginable. There are also plenty of campsites for those looking to extend their stay overnight.
Basic tent sites, RV plots, and even screened cabins are all available. Prices range from $12-$23 and can be reserved online.
Fossils from an ocean that has long-since dried up are still visible today. Make a game out of seeing how many you can spot embedded in the sand.
So next time you need a break from the hustle and bustle of big city life, spend some time at Eisenhower State Park. Just a few hours in this remote sandy cove is enough to clear your mind.
