This Little-Known Swimming Hole In Texas Must Be On Your Summer Bucket List
If you’ve been to any of Texas’ most iconic swimming holes (like Jacob’s Well or Hamilton Pool), then you know how crowded they can get on a hot day. Luckily, there are plenty of lesser-known spots where you can cool off without feeling like a sardine. One of them is Campbell’s Hole, located just upstream from some of the more popular swimming holes in the Barton Creek Greenbelt. It’s one of the best swimming holes in Texas – definitely worth adding to your summer bucket list.
Much less crowded than the more popular swimming holes on Barton Creek, Campbell's Hole is a pristine oasis ideal for beating the heat on a summer day.
Some people like to cliff jump here, but we would advise against it due to the abundance of rocks, many of which are underwater and invisible from above.
There's also a rope swing a little way's upstream from the main swimming area...
The very tiniest adventurers might even be able to squeeze inside them for a fun game of hide-and-seek!
Have you ever been to Campbell’s Hole? If so, we’d love to hear all about your experience. Tell us in the comments! Don’t forget to check out our previous article for more of the best swimming holes in Texas that will make your summer epic.
