This Brunch Train Ride Takes You Through An Enchanting Texas Forest
Hot dogs and hamburgers are delicious, but there’s a much better way to celebrate Memorial Day this year. Texas State Railroad is hosting a brunch train, where passengers can dine on scrumptious morsels while being whisked through the breathtaking East Texas Piney Woods. All aboard!
Known as the "Official State Railroad of Texas," this enchanting, 50-mile ride takes passengers journeying through the evergreen Piney Woods. Passing over 100 bird species, 24 bridges, and a vintage turntable, it's a magical experience that everyone should experience at least once.
Delight in fine meats and cheeses, artisan bread, indulgent chocolate-dipped fruit, and plenty more small bites. There's also a concession car should you still be hungry after the prepared meal!
Featuring comfortable leather seats, attentive table service, large picture windows, and a private outdoor viewing platform, Presidential Class is an adults-only car. Passengers receive a complimentary glass of either Champagne or sparkling cider upon boarding. The rate is $129 per person.
All rail riders will have access to a bonus, open-air car with vintage seats. Bask in the cool, late spring breeze as you whirl through the East Texas countryside.
Have you ever taken the Memorial Day Brunch Train? What’s your favorite locomotive excursion in Texas? One of our top picks is the famed Polar Express, which tickets are already on sale for!
