2. Sandy Creek Park: Leander

You don't have to go far in order to experience the beach life. Simply drive to Leander and lounge at Sandy Creek Park, which we consider to be one of the best beaches in Austin, Texas! This breezy oasis sits along the shores of Lake Travis and it glistens with beauty. The bright shoreline stretches as far as the eye can see, the waters are refreshing, and the scenery is so distinctly Texas.

3. Hamilton Pool

Hamilton Pool's emerald waters never cease to amaze visitors. One of the most beautiful places in Texas (and the country), Hamilton Pool features a cerulean blue pool located beneath an expansive limestone grotto. A 50-foot waterfall flows into the pool, making for a completely enchanting experience that's truly too beautiful to be real. This place of pure fantasy formed thousands of years ago when the dome of an underground river collapsed due to erosion; today, it's a popular swimming hole for Texans looking for their very own summertime oasis.
