These 15 Mesmerizing Sunsets in Texas Will Take Your Breath Away

Explore the beauty of Texas through a collection of stunning sunset locations across the state.

The sunsets in Texas are equally as amazing as the sunrises, and watching the sun go down is one of the best ways to relax at the end of the day. Or snuggle up with that special someone and enjoy the view together. :) Here's a collection of some of the most stunning sunsets I could find throughout the state:

1) The sun setting gracefully over the water at Addick's Reservoir in Houston, Texas.

2) "Desert Sunset" in the Franklin Mountains of El Paso. The sun gets pretty hot out here in the summer, so watching it go down is a welcoming sight.

3) Talk about a hot sun! Wherever this is in Texas, the photographer captured the setting sun at just the right time.

4) Big Bend National Park never fails to impress us with its majestic rugged beauty. And at sunset, it's even more breathtaking.

5) A bright and colorful sunset over Lubbock. Beauty like this just can't be photoshopped.

6) Texas is full of boggy bayous near the coast, and this one looks even more amazing with that golden sun behind it.

7) Copano Bay near Rockport. Just grab a small boat and that special someone, and you have all the makings for a romantic evening ahead of you.

8) As the sun says goodnight, it lends a gorgeous orange tint to the vast Texas skies. Just one of the many reasons to love our state!

9) Good ol' Marathon, Texas. One of the best places to watch the sun go down and enjoy the starry night sky up above.

10) Well hey there, Whitehouse, Texas, what a lovely sun you have.

11) A long day of soccer comes to a close over Eldridge Park as the sun starts its descent below the horizon.

12) Sunset above Onion Creek..you can actually see the rays if you look close enough.

13) The sun paints the sky bright orange as it waves farewell over the little ghost town of Tecula, but there's nothing scary about this sunset.

14) There's just something about the day ending in a quaint little East Texas town that brings a feeling of ultimate peace.

15) Once again, I had to save the best for last: the purple-red sky over East Texas is a total knockout. Just gorgeous.

I'd like to thank these amazing photographers for capturing these stunning Texas sunsets so perfectly! Which of these sunsets would you love to see in person?
