Nashville is known for fried chicken and homegrown hospitality, but it’s the kind of place that really knows how to show off when it comes to a classic American burger. Bobbie’s Dairy Dip is perhaps one of the best-known burger joints in Nashville, and it’s an old-school burger shack that hails back to the mid-century. Don’t turn up your nose at the ice cream cones, either. Their soft-serve treats are legendary and worth the visit alone!
Bobbie's Dairy Dip has two locations, its original space on Charlotte Avenue and also a smaller space in downtown Nashville proper. It's the kind of eatery born-and-raised Nashvillian's frequent and it's off the beaten path enough that most tourists aren't quite sure it exists.
Of course, that doesn't mean Bobbie's isn't wildly popular. It's a local spot, the kind of place you visit when you need a hefty burger with your best friend.

Bobbie's has fostered a sense of local community since 1951 and it's classic burgers and hand-dipped cones round out a menu that's come to boast everything from onion rings to veggie burgers.
The fries are hand-cut and the ice cream is fresh. There's no indoor seating, but there are plenty of picnic tables outside for outdoor eating. Best visited during the heat of summer, Bobbie's Dairy Dip is popular amongst families, dating teenagers and even Little League teams.
Keep in mind that Bobbie's does close in January and February due to the weather. The rest of the year is fair game though! This is a classic taste that you have to capitalize on, you know.
