The Haunted Train Ride Through Tennessee That Will Terrify You In The Best Way Possible
Halloween is always a favorite holiday among kids, and one museum in Chattanooga has one of the best Halloween activities around. The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum offers Halloween-themed train rides throughout October, and they look amazing! If you think this is just an out-and-back train ride, you’re sadly mistaken. There’s plenty of tricks (and treats) on this one-of-a-kind train ride. All aboard!

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga is known for offering outings on their classic trains, but none of them are as scary as the Halloween Eerie Express! The 90-minute excursion crosses bridges, goes through a tunnel, and stops at the creepy Funhouse Station.

The train itself is also pretty neat. The museum hosts the trip on their vintage train cars. All cars have plenty of windows so parents can even sneak great views of the surrounding Fall foliage.

The experience is geared towards families. There's a costume contest for kids who dress up, storytelling all along the ride, hot cider, and plenty of other games and activities at the Fun House Station where there is an actual carnival-style fun house.

The trips depart the museum's Chattanooga station every Friday and Saturday of October at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with an additional 3:35 p.m. time on Saturdays only. Tickets are $23 and can (and should) be purchased in advance on the museum's website, linked below.
