Beautiful, awe-inducing, and perfect for little ones, this exhibit is one for all ages and great for a family adventure. If you're ever in Memphis, it's a must-visit. The Memphis Zoo can be found tucked away in the heart of Midtown Memphis, and it's home to over 3,500 animals. There are over 500 species represented throughout the zoo! Located in Overton Park, it has been serving the local community since 1906. This is a very popular zoo and for good reason. You can enjoy a wide range of animal habitats and witness some amazing creatures we would never be able to see in the wild in Tennessee.

We understand the obsession with exotic animals, but the Butterfly Garden is well worth a visit, especially if you're traveling with little ones. The butterfly exhibit is called Metamorphosis: The Butterfly Effect and is a seasonal attraction. The doors open in May and will close again for the season around October. So you have a big window to plan a trip to see these fluttering creatures.

Even though the attraction is open for several months the best time to visit is August and early September, but visiting at any point during the year is highly recommended. Here's an interesting fact: butterflies are at the peak of their life cycle in late summer!
