Tennessee isn't called ol' Rocky Top for nothing, folks. Our great state sits on a solid slab of limestone, and it makes a great place to visit if you're looking to tunnel through some amazing subterranean beauty. Cherokee Caverns hosts a Christmas event every year, which is a must-see if you're a fan of cave walks and holiday lights. Plus, music is piped through the whole space - how magical and beautiful is that? This is the most unique Christmas display in Tennessee. So get ready for Christmas at the caverns!
Cherokee Caverns is only open a few days a year, which means having the chance to wander the cave amidst Christmas music and trees sounds like absolute heaven. The cave also remains a steady 58 degrees at all times, so it can't get too cold down there!
The cave is adorned with lights and Christmas trees and filled with music and song. There are even vendors that attend to help you find the perfect gift for your loved ones, and there are great activities for the kids.
Bad weather? No worries! The cave is open whether it's raining or it's pouring or absolutely balmy outside. The pathways are also wheelchair and stroller accessible because no one should have to miss out on experiencing this kind of magic.
You can visit for yourself at 8524 Oak Ridge Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee. The cave will be open on multiple dates throughout December. Make sure to check the cave's calendar for updated openings! (Link below)
The Cherokee Caverns will be hosting Santa again this year. You can visit Santa and tell him what you want for Christmas, but someone else lurks within the cave. Someone who doesn't like Christmas at all; in fact, he can't stand it. The Grinch will be doing his best to avoid the Christmas cheer, so keep an eye out for this green hate-monger.
They will also have unique shops and yummy food to treat yourself to while you are in the cave.

Pretty neat, right? We were not kidding when we said this is one of the most unique Christmas displays in Tennessee. Find out more about this incredible Christmas activity and stay up-to-date on the cave's news on the Cherokee Cavern website or the Cherokee Cavern Facebook page.
