Tennessee is such a beautiful state. From our mountains to our waterfalls and our lakes to our fields, there is little to doubt the tranquility and life of our state. If you ask anyone around, everyone will say the best part about being in the Volunteer State is the people. Southern hospitality is a real thing and you won’t find it anywhere better than in our small towns. There is a town in the heart of our state that has a lot of charm to it. Bell Buckle, Tennessee is a place you will want to keep on your radar next time you find yourself in the middle of the state.
As tradition tells the story, it starts with the first settler in the area. As the man was walking along he noticed a carving of a cowbell and a belt buckle in a tree. The carving was thought to be a warning from Native Americans that settlers were coming in with domesticated animals. The interpretation stuck and the creek was named Bell Buckle, so the town became known as Bell Buckle, Tennessee.
Today if you want to visit, there are a few places we recommend you explore and take in. The first one is Bell Buckle Park.
