Every summer, historic and quaint Bell Buckle, Tennessee explodes with fun and excitement with the RC Cola and Moon Pie Festival. Known around the world for its quirky fun, the festival celebrates two of the South's most famous snacks: the icy cold RC Cola, and the sweetest of treats, a moon pie. If you've never made your way to this tiny Tennessee town this is the summer for it!
The RC Cola and Moon Pie Festival is hosted by the Bell Buckle Chamber of Commerce every year and traditionally takes place on the third Saturday in June.
The small town of Bell Buckle becomes a true hive of southern hospitality and quirky fun. The festival celebrates RC Cola and the ever-popular Moon Pie, two incredibly southern treats that have such a following they've snagged a summertime celebration. This year will mark the 24th festival of its kind. What a legacy!
The festival is highly attended by folks all over the world, and you'll find yourself regaled with all sorts of crazy contests like the "who travelled the furtherest contest." You'll meet folks from different states and countries, representing cities from all around the world.
The town of Bell Buckle itself only boasts 405 folks on a regular day, but it explodes with music, a parade rife with MoonPies, booths hawking local wares and unique experiences for all in June.
The festival has been featured by reputable publications like the Food Network, USA Today, Southern Living, the Travel Channel, and many more. It's caught the eye of the nation, it's caught the eye of the world.
The festival is free to attend and fun for the whole family. Come early for the RC-MoonPie 10 Mile Run and 5k, then stay for the parade and contests that run throughout the day. The entire experience is full of fun, music and laughter, all within Historic Bell Buckle, Tennessee.
