The Best Little Bakeshop In America Is Right Here In Tennessee
If you’re ever in Tellico Plains, you’re most likely looking for some type of adventure in the great outdoors – but why not give your tastebuds the spotlight for a moment? Tellico Grains Bakery is a locally owned space that, we would argue, is one of the best in the state. Care to take a visit with us?

Tellico Grains was founded by Stuart and Anissa Shull in 2003, and it has quickly become one of the sweetest small town establishments in the state.

The artisan bakery specializes in homemade bread, baked in their brick ovens, as well as an expansive array of cookies, muffins and pastries.

Their bread is baked daily, and all of their pastries are baked in small batches. What else would you expect from a homegrown bakery? This Tennessee family sure know how to make something yummy!

You can order sandwiches on their freshly baked bread and rolls beginning at 11am, and there are even (highly acclaimed) wood-fired pizzas available. You can personalize any pizza or sandwich, making this a one-stop-shop for the whole family.

All of their breads are made from freshly stone ground whole wheat flour, and there are no preservatives. Fruits, nuts and fresh herbs make each loaf especially delicious. They operate on a schedule, so make sure to call ahead if you want to snag a loaf. Are you surprised that a place like this sells out?

Pastry options pivot seasonally, but you may find anything from chocolate ganache cupcakes to banana walnut bread to carrot cake muffins. It's a surprise every day - and doesn't every day deserve something lovely?

You can visit for yourself at 105 Depot Street, in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. They're open from Tuesday to Thursday, 8-4. Happy eating!
