With Proximity To Tahuya State Forest And Off-Road Adventures, This RV Campground In Washington Is A Dream Come True
Tahuya Adventure Resort offers diverse camping options and outdoor activities in a scenic forest setting.
At 23,000 acres, the Tahuya State Forest is a great area to explore. You can mountain bike, fish, horseback ride, and hike 84 miles of trails. Another great activity? Camping within the forest. And the Tahuya Adventure Resort in Belfair just so happens to be one of the best RV campgrounds in Washington, even if you don’t have an RV.
With the Tahuya State Forest bounding on three sides, this 40-acre area is great for those who really want to unwind in peaceful surroundings.
The campground has full restrooms complete with private showers and hot water.
There are twelve pull-through sites here for rental, many of which offer a great deal of privacy within the trees. All sites have water, a combination power pedestal, and a dump station.
And most also have a fire ring and a picnic table.
Don’t have an RV? Not to worry. There are also six tent camping sites.
Your rental includes a picnic table as well as a fire pit. Just remember to bring your own tent!
Or if you are like me and prefer something a little fancier, there are six glamping sites here.
Choose from king, queen, or bunk beds. You’ll also have a fridge, pellet stove, and microwave. Some have coffee pots, electric heaters, and carpets.
There is also a community kitchen outside where you can use the coffee pot, kitchenware, propane grill, and microwave to prepare your meals.
Or just relax underneath.
But what really draws adventurers here is the off-roading. You can bring your own or rent a vehicle from Adventure Rentals LLC in Port Orchard. There are over 170 miles of trails to explore!
If you want to adventure outside of the campground and forest, head to Gold Mountain for a spectacular hike or Hood Canal for fun water activities like swimming and boating.
Twanoh State Park has sports courts and is also great for swimming and hiking. And Elandan Gardens, a bonsai garden on Puget Sound, is perfect for exploration.
Need some additional camping gear? I love the camping section at Backcountry!
