Woodstock Inn & Resort in Vermont offers a festive and enchanting Christmas experience with historic charm and modern amenities.

A great way to make the most out of the holidays is by spending some time at a Vermont inn for Christmas. Christmas in Vermont is really something special and we think we've found a spot to stay that you will fall in love with. As soon as you pull up to the festively decorated inn, you won't be able to stop yourself from getting in the Christmas spirit! There's no place quite like a Vermont Christmas at the Woodstock Inn.

The origins of Woodstock Inn & Resort date as far back as 1793.

Captain Israel Richardson first built lodging accommodations in the newly established town of Woodstock, Vermont. Over the next 50 years, the Tavern would undergo numerous ownership changes until 1830, when Richardson's Tavern was renamed, "The Eagle Hotel."

But it wasn't until 1892, that the Woodstock Inn got its rightful name.

In 1892, the new Woodstock Inn was built on the site of the original Eagle Hotel and cost $120,000 at the time to design and construct. Then in 1967, Laurance Rockefeller purchased the inn with an intent to renovate it and modernize the building.

Today, it is completely modernized and renovated on the inside and is our pick for the best Christmas hotel in Vermont.

The 10,000-square-foot and LEED-certified Spa at the Woodstock Inn & Resort features 10 treatment rooms, a spa boutique, and locally sourced products.

Every year during the winter holidays, the entire inn gets festively decorated. Wouldn't it be lovely to spend Christmas in Woodstock, Vermont? We think so!

There's even a life-size gingerbread house in the lobby.

Cozy up by the Christmas tree with a good book as you listen to Christmas music play in the background.

"Christmas on the Farm" occurs at the inn every December weekend and is always filled with memorable activities.

During this weekend, guests can tour the decorated farmhouse, visit the dairy farm, learn about holiday traditions in the 1890s, make historic Christmas ornaments and crafts, and even try candle dipping.

The inn offers a variety of accommodation options from basic suites to the more deluxe.

Each suite comes with its own private bathroom and top-of-the-line toiletries for added comfort and convenience.
