You’ll Feel Like You’re in a Dream When You Sleep Overnight in This Utah Lighthouse-Style Tower
A magical vacation is waiting for you at the Towerhouse in Utah. This Airbnb is one of the coolest places to stay in the Wasatch Mountains.
There's something quite enchanting about waking up in the morning to the sound of elk bugling or seeing wildlife frolicking. Then, you rise out of bed to relax on a balcony and watch the sunrise over the serene mountains as the crisp morning air kisses your skin with the soothing sounds of nature echoing in the distance. I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to start my day. If this sounds like a dreamy getaway, you’ll love the Towerhouse in Wanship, Utah. The best part? This magical Airbnb in Utah resembles a lighthouse tower (yes, an actual cabin built in the shape of a lighthouse), making it one of the most incredible places to stay in the Beehive State.
As a landlocked state, Utah isn't known for lighthouses. In fact, besides the Towerhouse Airbnb, there is only one that I can immediately think of: the Cedar City Lighthouse, the largest inland lighthouse in the country. So, staying here is literally like a dream come true. I mean, it’s not often that you get to say that you spent the night in a lighthouse-style cabin.
Nestled inside the scenic Wasatch Mountains and overlooking Park City, the one-bedroom rustic cabin is perfectly secluded but still within minutes of town. It can accommodate up to four guests, but I think it’s also ideal for two or a solo traveler. The unique rental has four levels, with the master bedroom located on the top floor. The 400 square-foot space has vaulted ceilings, and it’s cozy with a comfy queen-sized bed, but most importantly, you can wake up to breathtaking mountain views. There’s a bathroom on this level as well.
Each level has the same square footage (400), which makes the house feel even warmer and comfier. There is tons of room for two to hang out and relax. Keep in mind that there are three levels of stairs that you will need to climb to navigate through the space. What I love about the cabin is that there are lots of windows through which you can enjoy mountain views. After preparing a meal in the fully-equipped kitchen, the dining room is the perfect place to eat while you take in the gorgeous vistas.
While the windows are great, the real highlight of the house is the balcony. Seeing Park City and the panoramic views of the rolling hills is out of this world. Watching the sunrise or sunset or gazing at the starry night skies from the balcony is a magical experience, too. The dreamy scene is like something from a fairytale.
A flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi are provided for your entertainment, and the walking paths near the house are great for afternoon strolls. The tourist town of Park City is only a few minutes away, so you can spend the day exploring the restaurants and shops there. Of course, if you stay during the winter, bring your winter sporting equipment and hit the slopes at the nearby ski resorts.
If you’re looking for a true mountain vacation, I can’t think of a better place than this fairytale lighthouse-style Airbnb in Utah. Be sure to visit the Towerhouse Airbnb listing to start planning your trip. Also, you’ll want to have snow tires to drive up the mountain during the winter.
