The Skiing At Utah’s Resorts Is Some Of The Best In The World

Utah offers some of the best skiing conditions in the world with frequent powder snow and easily accessible resorts.

Utah's snow is so amazing that we've copyrighted the phrase, "The Greatest Snow On Earth." Is that just a marketing ploy? Not if it's true!

Powder hounds come from all over the world to experience Utah's ski resorts. They're some of the best in the world, and they're right in our own backyard. Check out what makes them so great:

Utah's snowstorms often create the perfect conditions for powder skiing. Frequent storms with light, powdery snow make it possible for skiers to float on top of the heavier layers of snow beneath.

With an average of 500 inches per year, you certainly won't have any trouble finding plenty of the white stuff at our 15 resorts.

Another thing that makes our skiing so great is our immediate access to it. From the Salt Lake Valley, you can leave your driveway on a powder day and be unloading your skis at one of the resorts on the Wasatch Front in less than a hour.

We have ski resorts from Logan all the way down to Cedar City, so just about every Utahn lives close enough to a resort to make it a day trip.

Though Utah's ski resorts have high elevations and some pretty awe-inspiring mountains, they all offer terrain suitable for all skill levels. And, the earlier you get your kids started skiing, the sooner they'll fall in love with it.

A day spent skiing on the mountain is a great day to bond with your kids.

Whether you enjoy downhill skiing...

...or Nordic skiing, Utah's terrain is hard to beat.

Oh, and the views from the top aren't bad, either!
